Rules for the Underdog Series

Welcome to the Underdog Doubles Tournament Series specifically created to include beginner, amateur, and intermediate players. Buy-in will be $40 + $10 green fee. Skill level limits are 975 combined Fargo or 10* combined APA. Format will be BCA (call pocket). Races will be adjusted based on skill level.
*Players that can demonstrate a combined Fargo under 975, but are higher in the APA than a combined 10 WILL BE ALLOWED with a MAX 12.

There will be a cap on the highest rated player at 600 Fargo (regardless of your APA skill level). Also, for a team to use their APA or Fargo ratings, they must have 4 plays in that format in the past 12 months. Any team that wants to combine ratings across leagues (one APA skill level and one Fargo) must submit in advance to heather@themiragesportsbar.com no later than 3 days before scheduled event for verification.

Play in one tournament, or play in them all. This is an OPEN SERIES and does not require any league affiliation. If you do not have a handicap rating, one will be assigned to you by the tournament host.

The series includes a total of 6 tournaments throughout 2025 with the Final Event on December 20, 2025 with a Grand Prize of 10% of the collected entries through the season (minimum guarantee $500). Collected points through the season will gain you a favorable spot on the bracket. Points WILL NOT affect the amount of games required to win.
